U13s Win Pre-Season Tournament On Cricket Tour To Spain

During the Easter holidays, 31 pupils from the U13s and the 1st XI cricket teams travelled to La Manga in Spain to participate in a pre-season tournament.

The tournament included the Spanish U17 National Academy team, and a number of other schools and clubs from the UK.

Both the U13 and 1st XI teams performed admirably and reached their respective finals. Noah's unbeaten 122 in the final helped the U13s win their tournament. He collected the Player of the Tournament award and his impressive performance earned him a debut for the 1st XI along with Raff.

For the 1st XI, Ollie was the top run scorer, Matthew impressed with the ball, and Henry and Nathan both produced good all-round contributions.

As well as the matches, the pupils were able to make use of the excellent training facilities at La Manga and trained alongside the Irish National side.

The pupils received a lot of positive comments from opposition coaches, parents and the tournament organisers.
