Year 11s Perform Final GCSE Drama Performances
Year 11 Drama students performed their final piece of GCSE practical coursework last week.
On Wednesday, 27 students took to the stage to perform for their relatives, friends and teachers, and on Thursday they performed in front of an examiner.
Wednesday evening opened with two extracts from the award-winning play, "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time". They were confidently performed by Vladmir, Davida and Meg with superb lighting and sound design by James and Jude.
The audience then moved over to the more intimate setting of the Drama Studio where they watched two extracts from "The Importance of Being Earnest".
The audience then returned to the Theatre to watch "Teechers". Holly, Freya and Lewis showed excellent skill in playing the multitude of different characters between just the three of them.
Pupils also performed extracts from "Broken Biscuits" which had never been seen at Kingswood before, as well as entertaining and imaginative extracts from "Swallows and Amazons" and the thought-provoking play, "Waiting for Godot." The evening concluded with Harold Pinter's play, "The Dumb Waiter" which was performed by Henry and Reuben.
Donations from the audience will go to the Genesis Trust and Bath Child Contact Centre.
