U14A Hockey Team Win County Championships On Flicks

The U14As won the County Championships last week in a very competitive tournament. All of their 20 minute matches were equally balanced and closely fought. The team managed to top their group as they claimed three 1-0 wins.

This set up a semi-final against Clifton College and the U14As kept their good form going, advancing to the final after another 1-0 victory. This setup an exciting final against Bristol Grammar School (BGS). BGS created many chances but Tom, Kingswood’s goal keeper, made some impressive blocks to send the game to penalty flicks.

James, Alfred and Freddie all converted accurately with Tom blocking three of BGS’s flicks to give the title to Kingswood.
