U12Cs Team Of The Week In Competitive Netball Fixtures
On Saturday, the Seniors enjoyed a depleted block fixture against Bryanston with a number of matches cancelled due to the poor weather.
The 1st VII had a physical game and played well once they find their rhythm. Kate played well and made a number of crucial turnovers which the team converted with confidence, resulting in a 33-13 win. The 2nd VII played their best netball to date, with Tilly playing well and Issi controlling play in the middle, and earning a fine 32-21 win.
The U14As represented the School well at the South-West Regional Schools Finals. In a tough group, Kingswood won two and lost four. Their best performance was against Taunton who they beat 6-5 and Taunton went on to qualify for Nationals.
Three junior teams travelled to the Downs. There was great shooting from Cecilie for the U13Cs but it is the U12Cs who are Team of the Week. Persistent energy and commitment from mid-court, and coupled with growing confidence from shooters Maisie and Amelie, the girls pushed it to 10-8 in Kingswood's favour by the end of the third quarter. The defenders were critical in the last quarter, making many interceptions. It was an excellent team performance and a final score of 14-11.
