Prep Mindfulness

Children in Year 5 and 6 have been exploring the first of seven healthy habits: to be proactive.

They have talked about what it means to be a responsible person and taking the initiative to help themselves and others.

Each class has read the story about Sammy Squirrel who is ‘bored, bored, bored!’ and realised that that they are the main person to choose their actions, attitudes, and moods, it’s not up to us to blame others for their actions but take ownership of them.

We even talked about doing the right thing without being asked, even when no one is watching.

Do encourage your children to be proactive and take responsibility at home. We are certainly impressed with their efforts at school!
