Senior Football Teams Compete Against Wycliffe On Home Turf

Last Thursday, our two Senior Football teams played Wycliffe in what turned out to be very evenly matched games.

The 1st team conceded a goal in the first five minutes, but a rather fortuitous own goal from Wycliffe put Kingswood level midway through the first half.

Following a perfectly weighted cross from Takuto, Keyan was able to calmly head in his first goal of the season to give Kingswood the lead.

After the break, Wycliffe came out with more purpose and won a penalty but Jacob pulled off a great save to keep Kingswood 2-1 up.

In a thrilling climax, when it looked like Kingswood had sealed the win, Wycliffe scored what proved to be the equaliser.

The 2nd team fared better as goals from Frankie and Alban and a Man of the Match performance from Maxim secured a 2-0 win.
