Prep Boys Enjoy Hockey Fixture With Colston’s School
Last week, the Year 6 boys enjoyed another fine afternoon on the Upper with over 30 boys from Kingswood playing hockey with all their effort.
Mr Brearey’s pitch saw a triangular of matches featuring two Kingswood teams and one from Colston’s School.
The boys played good quality hockey for large periods of the afternoon and the ball was moved into space with accuracy and speed, which led to many goalscoring opportunities.
Freddie, Lexi and Vivaan impressed, showing a high level of improvement since the beginning of term.
Mr Ward’s pitch was very evenly matched with two teams who endeavoured to get the ball into space and create shots at goal.
Both goalkeepers were very busy and made some fantastic saves, showing plenty of hard work and tenacity.
Santiago, Spike and Alex were calm in possession of the ball and have demonstrated an improved understanding of what to do when in and out of possession.
On Mr Hooton’s pitch, Luke made his debut in goal putting in two excellent sliding saves in the same match.
The boys showed brilliant ball and stick skills, whilst playing with a smile on their faces.
Well done to all of the pupils involved and thank you to Colston’s School for joining us.
