Year 5 Girls Rise To The Challenge Against Paragon
The Year 5 Girls’ Netball team hosted the Paragon School last week on a very bright Wednesday afternoon on the Upper.
The focus for the girls this week was cutting in front of their opponent to receive the ball, something they have focused on in their last couple of lessons.
The girls used this skill to great effect and really embedded it into their play.
The Purple team took responsibility for everything about their match, from tactics and positions to communication and collaboration; a challenge they undertook with fantastic results.
The Green team performed well to come back from what could have been a resounding defeat, to a very narrow one, demonstrating their determination and resilience.
The Orange team looked increasingly comfortable with the ball, as all players took on the challenge of playing in a different position each quarter and certainly rising to it.
The girls were confident and competitive, and deserved the clear score line in their favour.
