Kingswood Hockey Continues Their Unbeaten Streak
The week began with the U14A progressing through to the Regional Finals of their National Competition thanks to a draw against Dean Close and a win against Marlborough.
On the same day, both U15 teams beat King Edwards with the ‘A’ team producing a strong display to win 5-1.
Raff and Fraser shared all five goals but this was a real team performance.
Saturday saw Kingswood field four Year 7 teams for the first time in some very competitive and high quality matches against Millfield, three of which ended in draws.
Our Senior teams managed a clean sweep of the fixtures against Kings Bruton although several of these matches were well-contested.
The 1st XI continued their unbeaten start to the season, as did six other Kingswood teams who have gone through the first half term without losing a match.
Team of the week are the 2nd XI who produced some excellent passing hockey to secure a 2-0 win.
Everyone played well but Will was the stand-out performer who directed play at Centre Midfield and also scored both goals, one on a penalty stroke and one fine individual effort.
Finally, the Year 8s played their house matches on Saturday in a very enjoyable and even contest, Cusworth clinched a fine 2-0 win.
