Senior Hockey Players Perform Well Against Millfield
Last week reflected an outstanding start to the season for our hockey teams.
The Senior teams won five and drew one of the six matches against Millfield and the Westwood teams won five of the six matches against Monkton Prep.
This included all three Year 7 teams winning their first hockey matches for the school.
There were hat-tricks from Ben, playing his first ever match of hockey and also for Alex, Alfie and Oscar for their respective teams.
Charlie and Can both played exceptionally in goal for the U14 teams.
For the Senior teams, Tayo and Freddie both scored a brace in wins for the 2nd XI and U16s respectively.
However, team of the week goes to the U15A’s who snuck a tight game 2-1 against a strong Millfield team.
Fraser set up Louis who finished calmly to give Kingswood the lead.
Millfield equalised to take the game to a thrilling turning point in which Raff produced the pass of the day for Oskar to give Kingswood the lead.
Late pressure from Millfield was repelled by Noah and the rest of the Kingswood defence but there was still time for the visitors to hit the post before the final whistle confirmed an excellent start to the season for the U15As.
