Netball Club Wins Block Fixture Against Prior Park

On Saturday, the Netball Club had a block fixture against Prior Park, winning all twelve fixtures.   

This was a tremendous start to the season and a wonderful opportunity to try out different combinations.

The 1st team found their groove and won 52-16, with Talli being pivotal through court and providing a great link.

The 2nd VII highlighted how effective their defence was and only conceded three goals in the entire match.

Charlotte worked tirelessly in defence and Emily was effective in attack demonstrating excellent shooting.  

The Year 7s also showed great promise as they played their first fixture; Connie, Emmy, Elise and Eva were all instrumental in both the 20-9 and 8-3 wins.

Team of The Week goes to the U13As for their 16-5 win.

Maiya and Daisy worked well together in the shooting circle against some very tall defenders. 

The girls were only up 2-0 after the first quarter but they grew in confidence and in the second quarter secured a 10-1 lead. 

Kim and Anna both had excellent games in defence and Maiya was awarded player of the match - the final score was 16-5.

The appointed captain for the season is Marta and Talli as Vice-Captain.
