Kingswood Orienteers Take On A Challenging Course In The Mendips
On Saturday, Kingswood took part in a Bristol Orienteering Klub (BOK) event in the Mendips.
It was a very challenging course, with many of the controls well hidden.
The terrain was varied in woodland, up and around a quarry and open ground.
Katya in Year 10 had a fantastic result, finishing 2nd in her age group and 6th out of 29 competitors.
Arthur, Year 7, did brilliantly in his first competitive event and won his age group.
Well done to our two competitors representing the Prep school on Saturday.
Thomas displayed true grit and determination, by running up and completing a very tough Yellow course.
Not only did he keep going for an hour, he came 4th in his category ahead of many Year 6 and 7 boys.
Luke also had a good result and finished 3rd on the White course for his age group.
