Girls Hockey Teams Perform Confidently Against Beaudesert And Paragon
The Year 3 Girls’ Hockey team travelled across Bath on Monday to Prior Park College for an afternoon of hockey with The Paragon.
The Prep School fielded three teams with rolling subs and were well matched in two of the games involving the Red and White teams, ensuring play was intense and energetic.
The girls displayed brilliant defensive skills in their games as well as some excellent dribbling throughout the afternoon.
Kingswood’s Black team played particularly well, with Lola demonstrating her stick and ball control to great effect and Florry making plenty of important tackles.
On Wednesday, Year 5 hosted Beaudesert School in what was a close and well matched fixture.
The girls were split into three teams – White, Red and Black – and it was an excellent performance from all the players in each team.
The White team consisted of many players who are completely new to Hockey, giving them an opportunity to grow in confidence and use their developing skills effectively.
The Red team also impressed with the encouragement and support they gave one another to ensure team cohesion.
The Black team demonstrated the progress they have made in maintaining team structure and using the full width of the pitch.
Mrs Firbank highlighted the defence for their outstanding performance and for calmly distributing the ball out of the circle.
Well done to everyone who took part in an excellent afternoon of hockey.
