Year 5 and 6 Enjoy Athletics Meet With The Paragon And King Edward’s

Last Wednesday, Years 5 and 6 hosted an Athletics Festival Meeting on the Upper Playing Fields, where 112 girls took part from Kingswood Prep, the Paragon and King Edward’s.

Each girl raced and competed in every event both in the field and track events, with an emphasis on participation and experiencing the excitement of racing against other girls.

Though no final scores or times were collated, the girls still had the joy and anticipation of competing in each of their individual events.

There were some outstanding performances in more ways than one – some ran quickly, some ran bravely, some threw further than others and some jumped higher and longer than they ever had before.

All this effort, fun and competition cumulated into a fantastic afternoon of athletics.
