70 Year 10 Pupils Complete Duke Of Edinburgh Qualifying Expeditions
The Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expeditions took place at the weekend with 70 Year 10s completing two days on either the Mendip Hills or the Forest of Dean.
Groups in both expedition areas experienced varied weather, although it seems the group on the Mendips had to contend with the worst of it. Not that this dampened spirits!
The undulating routes represented a challenge when carrying heavy rucksacks.
However, all of the participants made excellent progress over the two days and, although there were some inevitable navigation errors, all of the groups made it to their respective finish points in good time.
Well done to all those who took part and those pupils in Year 10 who have now successfully completed the Bronze Expedition section.
