Senior Debating

Last Tuesday morning saw the second Westwood House Debating Competition in the Chapel, debating the motion ‘This House would make veganism compulsory’.

Beckford and Cusworth were debating in favour of the motion whilst Posnett and Hamilton were opposing the motion.

Both teams prepared well and delivered their arguments with confidence, impressing the judges and promising success for Kingswood’s debate teams of the future.

Beckford and Cusworth were named the winners and collected the trophy in Monday’s Whole School Assembly.

Mr Newbould would like to thank the participants, Mr Woodgate, Mr Pentreath and Mr J M Davies for judging and Westwood for listening so well and supporting the teams.
