U9s And U11s Enjoy Fixtures Away To Westonbirt And Colston’s
The Year 4s had the opportunity to play lots of cricket on Monday at Westonbirt, in what turned out to be a fine afternoon.
Whether it was batting, bowling or fielding, the children gave their all and demonstrated that they had taken on board the skills that had been practised before the half-term break.
It was great to see the children self-organise themselves both on and off the pitch and take responsibility.
On Wednesday, there was similarly plenty of exciting cricket on show at Colston’s.
The Year 6s with Mr Ward fielded and bowled very well with Jack in particular doing all he could to stop the opposition from scoring.
It was great to see Ryan motivating everyone else in the field with high praise.
Jack and George were the stand-out performers with the bat, working well as a team by running quickly between the wickets as well as making sure that they tried hard to hit the ball at every opportunity.
