Tennis Teams Perform Well To Record Impressive Wins
On the Thursday before half term, Kingswood’s U14 and U15 Boys’ Tennis teams enjoyed some closely fought matches against Prior Park.
Overall, the U14s won the fixture 5-4 and the U15s won their fixture 6-3.
All of Kingswood’s players performed well, but the continually improving partnership of Vladislav and Louis have been praised for some excellent rallies.
Westwood’s A and B teams also took to the court before half term against Prior Park.
Westwood’s B team came up against some very consistent opposition, but the School’s 3rd pair of Stan and David played very well together to win one of their matches and draw another.
Ryan and Isaac also won one fixture and just lost out by one game in the match versus their opposite numbers.
For Westwood’s A team, Will and Jacob made a big contribution as a 3rd pair by winning two of their matches.
The 2nd pair of George and Leo had one win in three close matches whilst the 1st pair of Sam and Archie won all three to secure a solid win overall.
The matches were played in an excellent spirit and it was a pleasure to see the players from both teams enjoying the competition.
All of the boys showed great promise in the application shown and the positive way in which they played together.
