Kingswood Pupils Participate In MFL Speaking Competition
This week, nine Kingswood MFL pupils took part in the yearly Languages Speaking Competition at the Royal High School in Bath.
Mr Walker, Head of Modern Languages, was incredibly proud of all of the pupils that took part, the effort they put in and the confidence and bravery that they showed to speak in a foreign language in front of their peers.
Of a total of over 60 pupils taking part in this region, Kingswood had the largest representation of pupils which shows the School's passion for languages and how well the School is doing at encouraging students to take an interest in other cultures.
All of the pupils performed exceptionally well and Kingswood came away with four top prizes.
Numa and Jade both won prizes for their inspiring presentations.
Numa spoke on how people from Asia are often stereotyped against and Jade spoke on the importance of respecting different opinions.
Tara won the Key Stage 4 Prize after her wonderful presentation in German which you can see on Twitter by following @KWS_Spanish and Leyla won her Key Stage 3 near native category for the second year running.
Mr Walker commented: "The brilliant performance of ALL Kingswood pupils gives me and the MFL Department confidence that going forward we are going to continue to produce some truly outstanding linguists."
