U15Bs Named Team Of The Week After Superb Comeback
Kingswood enjoyed much the better of the block fixture with King’s Taunton on Saturday, winning six of the eight fixtures and the School’s four Senior sides scoring 20 goals and conceding just three.
The U15Bs were named Team of the Week after they rallied superbly after conceding two early goals to win 4-2.
Both Stevie and Edie scored two goals apiece whilst Hattie and Jasmine were in great form to help withstand a King’s fightback after half-time.
The whole side can be proud of their final performance together before they move into the Senior sides next year.
Meanwhile, the 1st XI were in scintillating form for their final match, putting nine goals past a skilful King’s side.
Martha scored four goals and Holly scored a hat-trick but the whole side were outstanding, producing a fitting performance to finish their season.
Issy scored two for the 2nd XI whilst Abby scored a hat-trick for the 3rd XI in their 4-1 win.
Finally, Sophie stood out for the 4th XI, scoring two of their four goals in another polished performance.
At Junior Level, the U12s performed well to secure a 2-0 win against a strong Sherborne side.
In the House matches, Westwood’s fixtures were particularly exciting with the Year 8 game going to shuttles to decide the eventual winner.
In Year 7, Beckford beat Hamilton whilst Hamilton won the shuttles for the Year 8s.
On Thursday, the Seniors played their House matches and after a well-fought contest, Summerhill emerged victorious over School in second place and Fonthill in third.
