1st XI Hockey Team Runners-Up In Regional Finals

The 1^st XI were named Team of the Week in a busy week for Kingswood’s hockey teams.

The 1^st XI had a very well matched 2-2 draw with Sherborne on Saturday and were runners-up to Bristol Grammar School in the Regional Finals last Thursday.

Lizzie and Jess led the team superbly again but with seven matched needing to be played, it required the entire squad to contribute, and although they fell just short of winning the competition, it was a very impressive achievement to cap a full day’s hockey.

The Westwood sides had much the better of the fixtures with Dauntsey’s, with Alice and Lauren inspiring an 8-0 win whilst the U12As also won with Scarlett scoring in a Player of the Match performance.

At Senior level, the 2^nd XI, 3^rd XI, U14As and U14Cs had good wins against Sherborne.

The Hockey Club has also awarded full colours to Lexi who has been in outstanding form with her pace causing problems for all the sides she has come up against.
