Last Monday, Dr Wood and Mr Snell hosted the Science Society’s first meeting of the year.

The evening saw an array of demonstrations around the theme of energy for a large, enthusiastic group of Sixth Form students.

Reactions ranged from burning Thermite, to ignition of methane bubbles, to making a jelly baby scream, to the propanol whoosh bottle which you can see on Kingswood’s Facebook page.

The Science Society will meet again in November when the renowned Professor David Nutt will be visiting the School.
