Students Complete Silver Duke Of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition
July 2nd 2018
Last weekend, 28 pupils from Year 11 headed to Exmoor for their Silver Duke of Edinburgh qualifying expedition.
In five groups, they set off walking at staggered intervals and navigated over Exmoor’s highest point, Dunkery Beacon, on the first day.
The second day saw the groups either head out along the coastal path or back up and over the moor.
All groups managed to make it to their second camps in good time so they could rest and enjoy the weather.
Day three saw a shorter route into the finish in Simonsbath and all groups completed their routes in good time.
