Kingswood's cricket teams enjoyed an excellent week as they won seven out of their eight fixtures against King Edward's School on Saturday. The 1st XI lost a tight fixture against their KES counterparts with two balls to spare.

On Saturday, there were half-centuries for Tom who made 56 not out from just 25 balls to secure victory for the U14As. Noah, whose 88 not out as part of a 99 run partnership with Harry laid the foundations for the U13A's 123-run win.

The U12As, who won their very close match by four wickets, have been named Team of the Week. Chasing 104 to win thanks largely to some economical bowling from John and Alice, Kingswood lost early wickets before the same pair came together to steady the ship.

Kingswood needed 30 to win from just three overs. Joe combined excellent stroke-play with great composure to seal the win from the penultimate ball with an unbeaten 28. A thrilling end to a tight game means that the U12s progress to the next round of the club.

Finally, at yesterday's assembly, the Cricket Club named Ollie as captain for the forthcoming season.
