This week, nine Kingswood pupils attended the Routes into Languages MFL speaking competition at the Royal High School.

Numerous schools from the region competed at KS3, KS4 and KS5 non-native and near native categories.

Kingswood pupils spoke on topics as diverse as the banning of the burka in France, the Sagrada Familia by Gaudi in Barcelona, and their holidays and their free time.

The experience requires great courage as well as an excellent grasp of the target language.

Leyla won the KS3 near native competition and Lara came runner up.

Andrei, Issy, Lottie, Precious, Nathan, Georgie and Alex all produced excellent presentations.
