Year 3's Choc-tastic Science Investigations
October 7th 2020
Earlier this week, Year 3 children enjoyed a lesson they had long been waiting for: Science investigations using their senses and chocolate!
The class completed a number of tests with the objective to see if they could tell the difference between dark, milk and white chocolate just from the smell.
The second test was to see whether the class preferred the taste of sweet, (chocolate) savoury (crisps) or sour (fizzy Haribo).
The overriding result was that children preferred the sour taste. We cannot help but wonder if results would have been the same if the class had used a slice of lemon for the experiment.
More experiments are still to come if the chocolate lasts that long.
