Last Thursday the Cross Country team took runners from Year 7 to Year 13 to Bryanston for the Ken Bailey races.

Arriving efficiently with a warm up run to the start line, our runners competed brilliantly in some impressive fields of athletes.

Jemima and Sophia ran excellently in a Junior Girls race against over 150 runners - Daisy and Charlotte did a superb job filling in on such short notice.

In the Junior Boys, Charlie ran superbly to come 6th whilst fellow Year 7s Ollie and George finished in the top three.

In the Inter races, the two Freddie's were almost inseparable putting in two excellent runs and Tobina ran superbly to be first back for the girls with Emily, Evie and Izzy chasing hard behind.

Lizzie finished 2nd for the girls and Bridie an excellent 5th; whilst the Senior boys battled through Jim's sickness to finish 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th and take the Senior Boys team trophy for the first time in living memory.

Performance of the week however has to go to George for making the most of Bryanston’s hospitality and dispatching five donuts in as many minutes on completion of his race.
