Hockey And Netball Players Headstart The Term With Pre-Season Training
Over the weekend, over 300 students took part in the girls’ Netball and boys’ Hockey club’s in pre-season training - a great opportunity to improve their basic skills and enjoy the sport amongst their peers.
On Sunday, the 1st and 2nd VII Netball teams played at Bath University against KES, Taunton, Royal High and Monkton.
It was a chance to look at different combinations and improve patterns of play.
The 1st VII competed extremely well and won all their matches.
Clinical shooting allowed the team to pull away and Rosie and Maya must be congratulated on their accuracy.
The boys 1st XI took part in the Cardiff Met University pre-season tournament.
They played some excellent hockey, particularly in a 9-1 victory over Pangbourne but, unfortunately, narrowly lost their final group match putting them in third place.
Great progress was made over the course of the weekend with several new players getting their first taste of 1st team hockey.
