The Hockey Club Celebrates Their Last Block Fixture Of The Year With A Win

On Saturday, the Hockey Club had their last fixture against King’s Taunton, championing the block with five out of seven wins.

The 1^st XI had a high-class game of hockey.

King’s came out strong in the early part of the match but Kingswood took the lead with a counter attack goal.

Player of the match was Martha and Phoebe scored both goals.

Maya was instrumental for the 2^nd XI, scoring a hat-trick to seal a 3-1 win in their match.

Team of The Week are the 4^th XI who played at their best in terms of keeping their composure, quick passing and shots at goal. 

The girls demonstrated real teamwork with good communication and awareness of positions. 

Eloise was superb when clearing and thanks to her the team was able to hold our victory. 

Vicki provided us with the speed, Precious made some lovely crosses and Evie was integral on the wing - a final 3-2 win.

Westwood also enjoyed their House matches, it was a wonderful celebration of Hockey but also friendship and sportsmanship.

In Year 8, the A match was very competitive - Beckford won 4-3.

Well done to Ellie who scored the winning goal in the last minute!

In the B match, it was end to end with a final 4-4 draw.

In the U12 matches, the Beckford A team took an early lead and in the end won 5-0.

The Beckford B team won 5-2 with Amelie being pick of the players scoring a hat-trick!
