Year 5 Learn About School Motto In Latin Session
Last Thursday, Year 5 were treated to a Latin session from Senior School teacher, Mrs Dakin, who talked about the origins of different Latin words.
The pupils learnt about Kingswood School’s motto ‘In Via Recta Celeriter’ and how it translates to ‘In The Right Way Quickly’.
The pupils would like to thank Mrs Dakin for the lesson and have shared some of their favourite facts:
“I learnt that horticulture is a Latin word and it means ‘gardening’.” - Esme
