Hockey Girls Take On All Hallows and Dean Close In Block Fixtures

On Saturday, the juniors played against All Hallows and the Upper astro managed to drain just in time!

The U13As ended an exciting game in a 1-1 draw, a true team performance.

Anna weaved through the opposition’s defence to score a well-deserved goal.

The Seniors had a competitive block fixture against Dean Close, winning four out of eight matches.

The U15Bs had a convincing 4-0 win and Seren was player of the match for her tireless work in midfield and a fantastic strike from top defence.

The U15As also performed well, especially in the second half where their defence linked thoroughly.

The midfield and the attack opened up Dean Close’s defence permitting a 2-1 win.

Team of The Week was awarded to the 2nd XI who produced some high-quality hockey.

In the first ten minutes, they were under pressure but managed to prevent the opposition from scoring.

Lastly, well done to the U16 XI and U14A XI who both competed in their preliminary tournaments last week.

They will both go through to the Regional Finals in the next couple of weeks.
