Sixth Form Musicians Take To The Stage For Jamie’s Farm
On Friday 10 May, the Sixth Form showcase took place in the Theatre.
This event was in support of Jamie’s Farm, a local charity that enables young people to thrive academically, socially and emotionally on a farming residential.
The evening consisted of both Year 12 and Year 13 performers, and for some, this was their last performance at Kingswood.
The show began with a lovely performance from Zoey, Gabe and Sophie.
Arthur and Mai both performed piano pieces to a very high standard, giving Mr Knights and Mr Barton a bit of competition with their piano playing!
James treated the audience with his vocals as well as his Grade 8 trumpet study.
Jason fascinated the crowd with his Chinese instrument, the Erhu, where he was able to memorise a beautiful nine minute Chinese piece.
Emma then wowed the audience with her amazing vocals when she sang Rolling in the Deep.
Lily showed multiple talents with her own twist of Feeling Good where she played the trumpet and created her own backing track to it.
Emily Y, Emily B and Max performed a guitar, saxophone and vocal version of Hallelujah.
The night ended with an upbeat Year 13 band with vocalist Molly performing Valerie.
Almost £100 was raised for Jamie’s Farm, and the staff and pupils have thanked all those that made the night such as success and those who attended.
