Prep Pupils Take Part In STEAM Art Competition
The Prep School received some wonderful entries for its Easter art competition this year.
The Year 6 art monitors launched the competition to link together the subjects of the Prep School’s newest department, STEAM, in a piece of permanent art to grace the walls of the new build.
The pupils were asked to think about visual imagery for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths.
The entries included DNA strands growing into plants, cogs spelling out letters and numbers, and abstract paintings showing mechanical workings.
The winners were selected to give a broad representation of the different areas and the Prep School will be creating a wall-mounted piece of art using sections of the children’s designs.
Congratulations to all of those who entered and the winners, who have received Hobbycraft vouchers, are as follows:
Year 2 - Sassi
Year 4 - Sophie
Year 5 - Ludo
Year 6 - Beatrix
