Year 5 Girls Enjoy First Cricket Outing Of The Year

The Year 5 girls were very fortunate that the weather held off for them on Wednesday afternoon and, despite a pre-match downpour, their cricket fixture against Westonbirt went ahead on the Upper astro.

All of the girls were playing in their first cricket outing of the summer and they had fun in what was a successful and enjoyable match.

Batting was a real strength for the girls, with plenty of boundaries scored and a wagon wheel of shots played, which was very encouraging.

There were also some fluent and accurate fielding moments too, especially backing up around the stumps.

All in all there was there was a lot to be proud of and a few areas to work on for next time.
