On Wednesday 1 May, Mrs Natalie Brice, who teaches piano and singing at Kingswood Prep School, came to play to us in assembly, along with her husband Seb Brice.

Together they are known as Sinnober, and they compose, write and perform together across the UK.

The pupils were treated to some beautiful songs accompanied by incredible guitar playing, with Natalie and Seb even playing their recorder and harmonica for the children.

Natalie spoke to the children about the background to many of the songs, starting with their own arrangement of ‘When A Knight Won His Spurs’ and finishing with ‘I Don’t Want To Read The News’, a song which encouraged the children that they are important and can change not just their own lives, but the lives of all of us.

The teachers and children at the Prep School commented on how grateful they were to Natalie and Seb for setting the tone for their day at Kingswood.

If you want to hear more, you can search for their music on SoundCloud and they will be playing in Parade Gardens as part of the Bath Festival later this month.
