Kingswood Continue To Lead Avon Schools’ Orienteering League
Kingswood’s orienteers once again impressed at the recent Avon Schools’ League event as they continue to lead the league.
Oliver was the pick of the day with as he completed his 4.6 km course with 190m of climb in 30.01 minutes.
Jamie also did well on this course, finishing 8th overall but 2nd in Year 11.
On the 3.2km orange course, there was good competition amongst the Kingswood competitors.
However, it was Wilfrid who came out on top, winning the Year 9 boys, Angus was the next and Katya was just 15 seconds behind to take first place in the Year 8 girls.
They were closely followed by Alberta, who was in 2nd in the Year 9 girls.
Charlie had a strong run on the yellow course, taking 1st place in a brilliant time of 14.47 minutes for the 2.3km course.
Congratulations to Lucy who ran for England in the Interland competition coming an excellent fourth, having to cross a rive three times with was over waist deep
