A Level Students Perform Practical Drama Assessments
Last week, it was the turn of the Year 12 and Year 13 A Level Drama students to perform their practical assessments.
Year 13 students Charlotte, Angel, Georgette and Molly performed a series of moving scripted monologues whilst Conor and Tash performed a comic extract from ‘One Man, Two Guv’nors’ – complete with Conor in a very fetching fat suit!
These pieces are marked by an external examiner so students will have to wait until the summer to find out they have done.
Year 12 performed their devised assessments in a particular theatrical style.
On Wednesday, unusually, there were two comic pieces.
Joe, Sam and Felix chose Brecht and told their version of Norse myth ‘The Fate of Baldor’.
Miya and Georgia performed an Arthurian legend in which the audience discovered what it is that women really want.
This was directed by Holly in the style of Kneehigh.
Finally, on Thursday, Hatty, Natasha, Maisy and Adriana had created a thought-provoking piece about the treatment of supermodels.
James was the Designer and created both the stunning lighting, sound and set which brought the style of Headlong theatre to life.
