Girls Cross Country Teams Win Junior, Inter And Senior Events
On Thursday, the Cross Country team headed to Marlborough College where the girls enjoyed an impressive set of races, winning the Junior, Inter and Senior girls team events with some excellent individual performances.
Lizzy and Grace won the individual Inter and Junior titles, while a strong run saw Lizzie finish in 2nd.
In the Inter boys race, Jim finished 3rd with excellent runs by Oliver and Jamie ensuring Kingswood finished 2nd in the team event.
In the Senior boys event, Noah and Reuben were running well but were hindered by poor conditions, so, in the end, Joey was the first Kingswood finisher.
On Saturday, the team headed to Sherborne for a cold and blustery run in the excellent grounds of Sherborne Castle.
Again, the Inter girls team, made up of Emily, Georgia, Grace and Lizzy, showed excellent quality and determination in winning the team event against some strong competition.
The Inter boys race, Jim started strongly, holding a commanding lead over the pack through the first 2km, but it was Oliver who finished first for Kingswood and finished in 2nd place.
