Kingswood Duo Represent England At Orienteering Competition

Mrs Hallett and Sixth Form pupil, Lucy, were selected to run for England in the Interland Orienteering competition which is a match between Belgium, The Netherlands, Northern France, Germany and England.

This year, the competition was held at Herperduin in The Netherlands. The area was relatively flat with a network of paths and only small contour features except for a large bank of earth at the start where many of the early controls were to be found.

Lucy, who was running in an age group above her actual age, finished 7th after completing her 6.8km course in 59 minutes and 29 seconds.

Mrs Hallett won her 4.0km course after completing it in 35 minutes and 33 seconds.
