Netball Team Enjoy Well Contested Fixture With Beaudesert

The Year 5 girls welcomed Beaudesert Park School to the Upper on Wednesday for an exciting afternoon of Netball.

All three of the Prep teams were in action in what turned out to be a competitive, well-matched group of fixtures with a high level Netball on display.

The Orange Team showed their determination and resilience, coming back from behind in the final quarter, with superb shooting from Ava and tight marking from Jamie; the improvement in their ball handling and use of space was a stand-out feature of their play.

The Green Team’s game was very closely contested and they had to work hard at finding the space on the court.

Both Rosie’s worked superbly around the centre court and Sophie was impressive yet again as GD, effectively marking the GA, and regularly anticipating and intercepting the ball.

It was a tough match for the White Team, but once they had settled down after the first quarter, they began to battle hard and gain more possession.

Mrs Firbank was encouraged to see the girls effectively using rotations in the D, with some lovely interaction between Melissa and Sophie.
