Pupils Perform Well At National Biathlon Event In London
Last weekend, nine pupils from the Prep School took part in the National School’s Biathlon at Crystal Palace in London.
The nine had qualified for the event at the Prior Park Biathlon earlier in the year.
Sophia competed on the Saturday and swam a Personal Best before running well on the track.
She was very pleased with her swim performance and now knows she is quick enough to secure a county time this year.
The boys competition was held on the Sunday and they all performed well, with lots of improvements on their scores.
The swim and the run times are converted to points and Pentathlon GB consider 2000 points or more to be a good performance.
Charlie D scored 2243 points in his category, and Daniel, Toby, Charlie HB and Jack all scored over 2000 as well.
Henry was just nine points off, but this was a huge improvement from the qualification round, whilst James and Olly also improved their scores.
A huge congratulations to all of the pupils who took part.
It is excellent to see so many children representing the school in a national competition.
