Pupils Represent Kingswood Prep At National Competitions
Over the past two weeks, pupils at Kingswood Prep have been taking part in a series of IAPS and other national sporting competitions.
Teachers at the Prep School have congratulated the children for their performances and their pride for representing the Kingswood community.
At the U11s IAPS Regional Netball Tournament, the Year 6 girls performed brilliantly, winning their group in unbeaten fashion and entering the quarter finals before losing out in the semi.
The U11 boys’ hockey team took part in the Regional IAPS Tournament at Clifton College.
After a relatively slow start meant that they finished 3rd in their group, a strong finish was not enough to get them into the main cup competition, qualifying for the “plate” instead.
They won their quarter final in impressive style, their semi equally impressively before winning the final and heading home pleased with their day.
In order to get the largest number of boys to experience these kind of events, a completely different group of Year 6 hockey players went to the Avon Schools Championships.
The boys rose to the occasion and battled hard against more experienced opponents, but proved the strength in depth that there is at the School.
In Judo, Jack performed excellently at the IAPS Judo event, having represented the School for the last two years.
Judo is one of his major passions and he did the School proud, winning his age/weight category and coming home as IAPS National Champion. Many congratulations Jack!
