Year 2 Have A Very Busy ‘Whizz Bang Pop’ Half Term!

This half term, Year 2 have enjoyed reading George’s Marvellous Medicine and have done some excellent creative writing around the book.
The children wrote descriptions for what they thought would happen to Grandma when she took the medicine, along with some particularly gruesome recipes for their own marvellous medicine.
Year 2 were also set the challenge of using their problem-solving skills to create a self-standing bridge out of newspaper and masking tape.
The children learnt how to use newspaper in different ways to create a strong design.
They also had the opportunity to draw portraits of famous inventors, with some of the year group deciding to draw themselves as budding scientists.
